New York Knicks Partners With Sweet to Launch Limited Edition 3D NFTs

Sweet, an enterprise NFT solutions provider, has recently partnered with the American professional basketball team, New York Knickerbockers, popularly known as the New York Knicks, to create a limited edition NFT pack.

According to the official announcement, the New York Knicks will be commemorating the 2020–2021 basketball season with a collection of 5 Limited Edition 3D Knicks NFT tickets.

Embedded in the non-fungible tokens are selected rare moments from Game 1 of the NBA playoffs at Madison Square Garden on May 23, 2021.

These limited edition 3D Knicks NFTs, built with the ERC721 token standard, will allegedly be made accessible to everyone to hold and own.

How it Works

Sweet claims that it has designed the NFT collection to be consumer-centric, without users having to go through complex purchasing processes.

With a view on mainstream adoption, Sweet claims that it has reduced the crypto complexities involved in buying an NFT.

As per the announcement, fans can purchase the limited edition Knicks NFTs as easily as they would purchase anything else using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, their credit or debit card, or even cryptocurrency.

The NFT maker noted that it has created a crypto wallet mainly for purchasing these Knicks NFT, which it claims is simple to use.

Reportedly, fans can easily purchase any of the 5 commemorative 3D Knicks NFTs using any checkout method they prefer.

Going Forward

Once purchased, they will be required to sign up with either their mobile number or an email address, a registration for confirmation, and immediately it is confirmed, they will finally be required to create a unique password to secure their accounts.

Subsequently, users are allowed to view their 3D Knicks NFT, observe its sequence number, read the NFT description that memorializes the particular Knicks game being celebrated, and read over the authenticity of their newly minted tokens.

Sweet also claims that it is developing an infrastructure that will allow Knicks NFT holders to display their tokens in the real world.
